KI NO TEA is an exquisite and distinctive gin made at our dedicated artisanal distillery in Kyoto,Japan's ancient capital.It was conceived expressly to emphasise traditional Japanese aromas and flavours.
KI NO TEA has been created in collaboration with Horii Shichimeien,a tea grower and blender founded in Uji in 1879:at its heart is an exclusive blend of the finest super-premium tencha and gyokuro.
The intense fragrance and depth of flavour combine with a wonderful sweetness that occurs naturally in the distillation of these superior teas,whose rarity ensures that KI NO TEA can only ever be made in limited quantities.
Our distilling team harmoniously blends the separate distillates with the famed water of Fushimi,drawn from a well at Tsuki-no-katsura,a sake brewey dating back to 1675.
The label design has been produced using a new bespoke woodblock handcrafted specifically for KI NO TEA by KIRA KARACHO , a Kyoto-based karakami atelier with roots dating back to 1624
