Wild Turkey 101 8 year Old is Wild Turkey’s flagship brand and uses a heavy barrel char, #4, to help create the company’s flavour profile and deep colour. It is also distilled at a very low proof in order to help embody all of the barrel flavours during ageing. It is drawn from the barrel after 8 years at roughly 109 proof needing only slight dilution to achieve bottling proof of 101.
Colour: Deep Reach amber and caramel.
Aroma: Gentle, yet rich, with notes of deep vanilla, caramel, and oak; offers slight hints of orange and toffee.
Finish: Extremely long, deep, and smooth, with a recognizable burn.
