JOHNNIE WALKER AGED 18 YEARS is the result of my ceaseless search across Scotland for the ultimate combination of whiskies that will enable me to create the richest and smoothest 18-year-old Blended Scotch Whisky we have ever made.Full of intense fruit flavours,it has a gentle wisp of the smokiness that has characterised JOHNNIE WALKER for almost 200 years.
For this award-winning whisky I have personally chosen the sweet and elegant flavours of classic Speyside malts such as Cardhu,Glen Elgin and Auchroisk to blend with fruity and complex Highland Malts,including Blair Athol,and have selected beautifully aged Island malts for their subtle smokiness.
All the whiskies I have chosen are exceptionally well rounded and supremely smooth after a minimum of 18 years quietly maturing.Their luxurious,warning flavours are now ready to be unlocked and are best savoured neat or on the rocks.
Nose : Rich sweet fruit aromas with toffee caramel,vanilla and a hint of smoke
Palate : Warming ans sweet ,with dark fruit ,malty cereal,smooth creamy vanilla,fragrant almonds and tangerines and a gentle smoke developing
Finish : Lingering with dark chocolate ,caramelised citrus peel and very light smoke
