In hand-crafted wooden tubs we allow crisp spring water from the Whit Burn,malted barley and yeast to work magic.For a day more than most distilleries they rest together to ferment.It is this patience which allows layer upon layer of sumptuous flavour to form.
We've enhanced this bounty of taste by maturing these fine whiskies for a minimum of 18 years.Our Malt Master has then skilfully married them to create a divinely multidimensional Single Malt.Enjoy the delicious sweet cedar,rich walnut,silky chocolate and salted honey notes.It is a celebration of the fragrant complexity achieved by our three-day fermentation and one of our most decadent,delectable and sophisticated drams.
Nose: Soft, warming and lusciously fruity, lots of flavour, vanilla sweetness, toffee apples, cocoa beans.
Palate: Creamy, vanilla sweetness, aniseed, rich juicy fruit and peppermint.
Finish: Long and spicy, cinnamon and apricot.
